A humanist funeral, or memorial, is a non-religious service that is a dignified farewell and a celebration of a life that once was. It recognizes the profound sadness of family, friends and colleagues of saying goodbye while celebrating the life and legacy of a loved one that has passed away.
Non-Religious ceremonies have the same status in law as religious ones.
Your Humanist Officiant has the flexibility to create a service and an atmosphere that best fits the personality and life of the deceased. Humanist memorials are highly personal and individual and reflect the person as they truly were. On this note, the Officiant gets to know as much as possible about the deceased so as to prepare a personalized, sensitive and meaningful ceremony.
